John 3:16 – ‘but have eternal life’

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life…Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life…For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous. The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord…For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord…He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life…These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life…I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.
