- Titus 3:4-7 …made heirs according to
the hope of eternal life.
-
- But when the kindness of God our Savior
and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds
which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the
washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out
upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His
grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life…when
the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born
under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we
might receive the adoption as sons. Because you are sons, God has sent forth
the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!" Therefore you
are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through
God…Listen, my beloved brethren: did not God choose the poor of this world to
be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love
Him?...Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according
to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the
resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is
imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to
be revealed in the last time…The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that
we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow
heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be
glorified with Him…For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become
conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among
many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom
He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also
glorified…God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this
mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory…Now may
the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will
abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
