Encouragement
& Exhortation
-
- Titus 3:4-7 …and renewing by the
Holy Spirit whom He poured out…
-
- But when the
kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not
on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness,
but according to His mercy, by the washing of
regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit whom He poured out upon
us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior…Jesus stood and cried
out, saying, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who
believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow
rivers of living water." But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who
believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because
Jesus was not yet glorified…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has
come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses…I will ask the Father, and He
will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the
Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or
know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you…In
Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your
salvation--having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit
of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the
redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of His glory…you are not in
the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if
anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. If
Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is
alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from
the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also
give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you…Now we
have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so
that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also
speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit,
combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not
accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and
he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised…But we all,
with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being
transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord,
the Spirit.
