Scriptural Encouragement & Exhortation

 

Titus 3:4-7 …not on the basis of deeds which we have done…

 

But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness…Can mankind be just before God? Can a man be pure before his Maker?...because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin…For all of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; and all of us wither like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away…Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me…as it is written, "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD; ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS; THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE."…Indeed, there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and who never sins…Who can make the clean out of the unclean? No one!...How then can a man be just with God? Or how can he be clean who is born of woman?...do not enter into judgment with Your servant, for in Your sight no man living is righteous…I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not…Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?...All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him.
