- The Beauty of the Lord
-
- One thing I have asked from the LORD,
that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of
my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD and to meditate in His temple…Thus I
have seen You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory…Splendor and
majesty are before Him, strength and beauty are in His sanctuary…Bless the
LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, You are very great; You are clothed with
splendor and majesty…in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He
appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. And He is
the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature…And He
was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His
garments became as white as light…The LORD reigns, He is clothed with majesty;
the LORD has clothed and girded Himself with strength; indeed, the world is
firmly established, it will not be moved…Out of Zion, the perfection of
beauty, God has shone forth…And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon
to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the
Lamb…And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the
light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine
them; and they will reign forever and ever…God, who said, "Light shall shine
out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of
the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ…we all, with unveiled
face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed
into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the
Spirit…Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet
what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we
will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him
purifies himself, just as He is pure…On the glorious splendor of Your majesty
And on Your wonderful works, I will meditate.
