Therefore I urge you,
brethren, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living and holy
sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And
do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is…Therefore
be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of
your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but
understand what the will of the Lord is…Rejoice always; pray without ceasing;
in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus…I
now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made
sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to
the will of God, so that you might not suffer loss in anything through us. For
the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without
regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death…For
this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from
sexual immorality; that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in
sanctification and honor, not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not
know God; and that no man transgress and defraud his brother in the matter
because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you
before and solemnly warned you. For God has not called us for the purpose of
impurity, but in sanctification…be obedient to those who are your masters
according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your
heart, as to Christ; not by way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as slaves
of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart…For such is the will of God
that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men…For you have
need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive
what was promised…Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm
yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has suffered in the
flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no
longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God…Therefore, those also who
suffer according to the will of God shall entrust their souls to a faithful
Creator in doing what is right…The world is passing away, and also its lusts;
but the one who does the will of God lives forever…For whoever does the will
of God, he is My brother and sister and mother.
