Scriptural Encouragement & Exhortation

Matthew 6:9-13 – The Disciples Prayer: pt9
Give us this day our daily bread...

Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, on those who hope for His lovingkindness, to deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine…Two things I asked of You, do not refuse me before I die: Keep deception and lies far from me, give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is my portion, that I not be full and deny You and say, "Who is the LORD?" Or that I not be in want and steal, and profane the name of my God…The LORD will not allow the righteous to hunger, but He will reject the craving of the wicked…The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; but they who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any good thing…He who walks righteously and speaks with sincerity, he who rejects unjust gain and shakes his hands so that they hold no bribe; he who stops his ears from hearing about bloodshed and shuts his eyes from looking upon evil; he will dwell on the heights, his refuge will be the impregnable Rock; his bread will be given him, his water will be sure…Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you…He answered and said, "It is written, 'MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.'"…I have not departed from the command of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.
