Matthew 6:9-13 – The Disciples Prayer: pt3

Our Father...

 

Pray, then, in this way: Our Father…How I would set you among My sons and give you a pleasant land, the most beautiful inheritance of the nations! You shall call Me, my Father, and not turn away from following Me…Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven…You, O LORD, are our Father, Our Redeemer from of old is Your name…Jesus said to her, "Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.'"…when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!"…For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!"…But now, O LORD, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand…If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth…Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
