CHRIST SET US FREE

 

Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!…If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed…If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free…Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death…Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives…It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery…Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God…For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another…But take care that this liberty of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak…Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
