CEASE STRIVING

 

Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth…know that the LORD has set apart the godly man for Himself; The LORD hears when I call to Him. Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still…the LORD is in His holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before Him…Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture…Return to your rest, O my soul, For the LORD has dealt bountifully with you…Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go…In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O LORD, make me to dwell in safety…In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your strength…The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace…Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
