Blessed are the Pure in Heart

 

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God…O LORD, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy hill? He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart…With the pure You show Yourself pure, And with the crooked You show Yourself astute. For You save an afflicted people, But haughty eyes You abase…Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being, And in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom…Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood And has not sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the LORD And righteousness from the God of his salvation…Surely God is good to those who are pure in heart!...let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience…Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart…Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord…Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
