Scriptural Encouragement & Exhortation

 

Blessed are the Gentle

 

Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth…He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way…But the humble will inherit the land And will delight themselves in abundant prosperity…For those blessed by Him will inherit the land, But those cursed by Him will be cut off…The righteous will inherit the land And dwell in it forever…Wait for the LORD and keep His way, And He will exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you will see it…Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord. "BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good…Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near…Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
