ATTRIBUTES OF GOD: WRATH

 

The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness…Remember, do not forget how you provoked the LORD your God to wrath…you have been rebellious against the LORD….you provoked the LORD to wrath, and the LORD was so angry with you that He would have destroyed you…because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God…But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him…He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him…God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him…whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come…Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry. For it is because of these things that the wrath of God will come upon the sons of disobedience.
