ATTRIBUTES OF GOD: MERCY-COMPASSION-GRACE

 

The LORD is gracious and merciful; Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness…For He says to Moses, "I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOM I HAVE COMPASSION." So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy…Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions…Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!...In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us…For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God…being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus…Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies…Go home to your people and report to them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He had mercy on you…Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
